The earlier, the better! I recommend booking maternity photos anytime from 12 weeks pregnant, even though the actual session usually takes place between 28–34 weeks. It’s also best to reserve your newborn session while you’re still pregnant, as I only take a limited number of bookings per month. Once your baby arrives, we’ll lock in the exact date to suit their age and your recovery. For family, milestone, or cake smash sessions, you can book as far in advance as you like — especially if you want a specific weekend or season.

Once your session is booked, you’ll receive a comprehensive styling guide with colour palettes, outfit tips, and examples of what photographs beautifully together. I also have a client wardrobe available, with flattering dresses for mums, carefully curated newborn wraps and outfits, and baby clothing in all the colours of the rainbow. I’m always happy to help you plan your outfits for a cohesive, timeless look.

That’s totally okay — I expect wiggles, giggles, and the occasional meltdown! My approach is patient, playful, and child-led, following their pace and comfort. We’ll take breaks when needed and keep things fun, focusing on authentic smiles and real moments of connection rather than stiff posing. There’s never any rush — the goal is to capture your family as they truly are.

I’m based in Raceview, QLD, with a cozy home studio designed especially for newborns, babies, and families. I also photograph on location around Ipswich, Brisbane, the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, Lockyer Valley, and the Scenic Rim, and surrounding areas, from golden fields to leafy parks and urban corners. Whether you prefer a studio session or a beautiful outdoor setting, we’ll find the perfect spot for your family.

The ideal window for newborn photography is between 5–21 days old, when babies are still tiny, sleepy, and easily settled into those sweet, curled poses. That said, I also photograph newborn-style sessions up to 12 weeks old, focusing on gentle, natural images that still beautifully capture their newness. Every baby is unique, and there’s no wrong time to create meaningful memories.

Once your booking is complete, your session is secured in my calendar and I’ll be in touch with everything you need to prepare.

I provide the backdrop, props, decorations, and cake for your cake smash session, but I ask parents to provide their child's outfit. As little ones come in all shapes and sizes, this ensures the outfit fits comfortably being able to try it on in advance. I am always happy to offer outfit suggestions and guidance if needed.

The cake is included in your session and can be customised to accommodate dietary requirements, including vegan, dairy-free and egg-free options. If your child has any allergies or dietary restrictions, simply let me know when booking so arrangements can be made.
